Description

A true sensory experience, Martha Beach House will envelop you with its sophisticated ease and revive and energise you.

Martha’s modest, handsome exterior belies a seductive interior in equal parts simplicity and glam.

Tactile crazy-paved stone floors mix it with luxe Italian marble, special finish plaster, plush Moroccan wool rugs and flowing sheer curtains to filter the afternoon sun.

The first-floor living is open and light-filled – with a spacious kitchen, well-appointed butler’s pantry, Ilve oven and wine fridge.

The generous oak dining table seats 12 adjacent to a Philippe Chiminess fireplace to warm you in winter with sliding doors to the outdoor balcony to enjoy the sea breeze and sunset drinks on balmy nights.

An alfresco built-in BBQ and dining space takes in expansive views of Red Hill, Arthur’s Seat and the glistening blue waters of Port Phillip Bay.

When slumber beckons, the master bedroom offers a sumptuous King-size bed with crisp French linen, the softest wool carpet underfoot, master robe with in-built TV, and beautiful heavy drapes to cocoon you from the early light.

The day spa-inspired ensuite is an experience to savour. A rose-coloured travertine vanity with double basins and weathered antique brass tapware, a shower with space for two and full-length mirror dressing room will enchant.

Downstairs, a second open living area complete with billiard table adjoins three additional bedrooms – all with comfy Queen-sized beds for a restful night’s sleep. The central main bathroom boasts a deep, fully-tiled bath to soak away the city-life.

Awaken to dappled morning sunlight on the pool deck where the local Cockatoos will keep you company for breakfast.

The resort-style pool has heating for cooler days with lounges and beanbags for lazing on sun-drenched days.

The house is a short stroll from the beach – to the left Safety Beach, or take the cliff-top trail to the right to discover the secluded Pebble Beach – a secret to all but the locals.

Or perhaps you’d prefer a stroll along the Martha Cove marina boardwalk to take in the spectacular boat-life with the reward of cocktails at Martha’s Table restaurant.

Nearby, the wineries of Red Hill are a must-visit, or take the scenic beach drive to shop and dine in the Mt Martha Village or Main Street Mornington.

Yoga studios abound with Warrior One in Mornington, Hut and Higher Ground in Red Hill local favourites (don’t miss Yoga In The Vines at Polperro Winery during summer). The Peninsula Hot Springs and newly-opened Alba Springs are perfect when it’s not a beach day – but remember to book ahead!

The home includes all the mod-cons for your comfort – wifi, Netflix, ducted and underfloor heating, air-conditioning, block-out blinds, double-glazed windows and doors, security system, fire pit, oversized double garage (bring your boat!) and plenty of nature strip parking.
