Description
The Old Cottage, located in Tomerong, NSW is an original 1900’s cottage. It was believed to be originally used as the local bullock drivers residence.
Located on 2 acres, the cottage is the perfect escape for couples wanting to explore the beautiful beaches of Jervis Bay or the greater Shoalhaven.
Cosy up and relax by the fire in winter, read a book or enjoy a cocktail out in the garden. And in the cooler months, the courtyard has a cast iron chiminea so the outdoors can be enjoyed all year round. Blankets, hot chocolates and mashmallows are all provided to enjoy the experience.
The owners, Ben and Louise live on the property, however, the cottage is completely private and has its own courtyard, driveway and gardens.
You’ll often see chickens, ducks and a friendly Kelpie (Hazel) running around next door. The property is a working hobby farm, which provides their family with fruit and vegetables all year round, and farm fresh eggs. Eggs are always provided for guests and at times seasonal produce.
The Cottage has been tastefully renovated to honour the character and age of the home, as well as providing modern conveniences. Many of the pieces of furniture in the cottage have been up-cycled and repurposed, Ben and Louise believe in giving old things new life and together have restored many sentimental pieces of furniture to decorate the cottage.
The cottage is restful, relaxing and beautiful place to stay, all year round.
